The Best Thing Money Can Buy Is Financial Freedom

As you think about and approach retirement, the thought of financial freedom becomes more important. Only you can define what financial freedom means to you. There are many wonderful things about having a job, a career, or a business. For starters, other people give you money. You get to serve the world in some way and, you get to express your talents. With the money that you earn, you provide for yourself and your family. Every year, here in the U.S., we celebrate our freedom from English rule on the 4th of July. We celebrate our ability to stand on our own as a nation. Within this free land, every individual has the freedom to dream their own dreams and to pursue those dreams.

Having recently celebrated our country’s independence, I leave you with this thought from the great author, motivational speaker and entrepreneur, Jim Rohn: “I remember saying to my mentor, ‘If I had more money, I would have a better plan.’ He quickly responded, ‘I would suggest that if you had a better plan, you would have more money.’ You see, it’s not the amount that counts; it’s the plan that counts.”
