Doing Something Different Will Yield Different Results

The New Year is a great time make positive changes. For some people – and maybe this includes you – this means taking a good look at the results you’ve gotten attempting to be your own financial advisor especially if you are not trained in the financial world. I have been in the financial business my entire adult life and I have been a financial advisor helping people live the retirement of their dreams for nearly 40 years. Year after year I have people come to me saying they thought they could handle their retirement investments on their own. They also admit that they realize they have not had the best of results. I applaud these people for their courage who, in this do-it-yourself society, finally realize they do not have the appropriate skills and knowledge to effectively invest for their long-term future.

Financial literacy is, thankfully, becoming more mainstream, yet that doesn’t mean everyone can or should handle their investments personally. They certainly should work closely with a fiduciary financial advisor and know enough about finances to select someone to work with whom they trust. Which brings me again to the New Year and positive changes. If you are one of those people who have given it your best shot, it may be time to take a different approach and hire a financial/wealth advisor. Because, you may have heard the saying, “if we always do what we’ve always done, we will always get what we always got.” You don’t have to be ultra-wealthy to have a financial advisor. But many people have become their idea of “ultra-wealthy” by working with reputable financial advisors. Notice I said, “their idea of ultra-wealthy”? Because everyone has their own idea of what that means. Having said that, I want to point out how important it is that the financial advisor you choose to work with understands the important distinction that your goals are yours and no one else’s.

With that in mind, if you are ready to interview and select a financial advisor, I would be happy to work with you and help make your retirement dreams come true. Let me assist you in your financial journey. Give my office a call today and find out how gratifying it is to make a positive change.
