Are Your Retirement Funds Working As Hard For You As You Did For Them

We Americans all look forward to celebrating Labor Day, however, I wonder how many people actually know the history of Labor Day and why we celebrate. The Department of Labor defines it this way. “Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.” https://www.dol.gov/general/laborday/history
As a retiree or soon to be retiree, you know what it’s like to work hard for your retirement. Now the question I pose to all of my prospective clients is this: Will your money work as hard for you when you’re retired as you did for it when you were working? That is my objective – to make sure my clients’ money is working even harder than they worked. It’s going to have to work that hard to accomplish the retirement goals and dreams without having to sacrifice lifestyle.
Will your retirement portfolio faithfully send you a check every month the way you faithfully deferred part of your check every payday? Is that the goal of your current financial advisor? Are they living up to that goal? If not, maybe it’s time for a Portfolio Review. That’s a no risk way to determine whether your money could work harder or to find out that it is working as hard as it possibly can for your long-term benefit. If you would like us to review your retirement portfolio, give us a call. We make sure our clients’ money is working night and day without a break!
